Sam’s Tech Tips – Tip #1: Office Apps Made Easy

Sam's Tech Tips

Is your business or organization email powerful and flexible enough? Are your shared office calendars seamless and reliable? Is office document sharing and collaboration a joy to use?

If you answered no to any of these questions, you should take a few minutes to check out a free service that Google offers to small businesses and organizations. For up to 10 users, you can sign up for a free account with Google Apps for your Domain that gives you an amazing collection of productivity and collaboration tools.

First, you get email powered by gmail, that includes all the flexibility and protection that regular gmail provides, but you get to use real business email addresses like your_name@your_domain.com

You also get shared and individual calendars for your domain so that you can easily, seamlessly, and reliably maintain and sync all of your schedules.

Last, it includes a full version of Google Docs where you can share, create, edit, sync, and collaborate in real time on all major document types. Through the use of a free third party service, you can even use the document sharing to sync folders and any files between multiple computers.

And as a bonus, these accounts give you free access to dozens of other Google products and services that can help you promote, manage, and operate your business or organization.
